Additional information on adapter sleeves

Adapter sleeves are used to fasten roller bearings with bevelled drill holes on cylindrical shafts. They can be used both on continuous shafts as well as on recessed shafts. Adapter sleeves are easy to mount and do not have to be additionally secured on the shaft. The designation of the adapter sleeves is derived from the roller bearing abbreviation. For instance, a 21318K spherical roller bearing is mounted with an H318 locking sleeve.

Adapter sleeves can be supplied with metric drilling (H), American inch drilling (HA) and English inch drilling (HE).

Adapter sleeves are supplied complete with the lock nuts and nut locks. Starting from size 32, installation and removal can be made easier by using the hydraulic process. The adapter sleeves can be provided with oil channels and hydraulic connections for hydraulic processing.
Adapter sleeves have a taper per unit length (conic tapering) of 1:12.
